My name is Mooncalf, I'm a thirty-year-old fangirl from Ohio, and this is my weblog. Right now you're either somewhere in the archives or reading comments or something like that. To return to the main page, click here.

10/29/2002 Entry: "... What?"

... what?

Look, Eccentric Opera CDs finally became available in the States, I have all three Bob The Angry Flower collections, and I have Suikoden III burning a hole in my PS2. Not to mention Wild ARMs 3 sitting on top of the entertainment center glaring and demanding to be played next.

I promise I'll blog again once I drag myself out of this morass of copious entertainment.

In reference to the Eccentric Opera cds: You can buy them in the US now? Where, oh where?

We found 'em on Amazon. Finally. I've been looking for those ever since we rented Nazca...

How is Suikoden III. I was looking at it in the store today and highly considering grabbing it, but was hoping to read some reviews first.

Eccentric Opera is a jpop group that specializes in technopop remixes of classical music. They did the highly cool synthesized a capella opening theme for the anime 'Nazca' (mediocre anime, great song -- the name of the classical piece in question escapes me), which is how I learned of them. It took about two years to find their CDs.

Suikoden III is... well, I wish it were still 2D and sprite-based, but the 3D is nice, the character animation is good (facial expressions! Real ones!), the character designs are just as beautiful as always, and the plot, as much as I've seen of it, is very, very promising.
Of course, I'm a total ravening Suikoden fangirl, so I'm biased as heck. But I'm having a lot of fun!
