10/21/2002 Entry: "Bad, Worse, Worst, With Your Host, Stephen King."

Bad:
Being in the shower (which is backing up, so that water is pooled about your ankles) and suddenly thinking about the Stephen King short story 'The Raft', therefore leading you to think about being slowly and crunchily pulled down the drain by whatever hideous tentacular thing is causing the drain to run slow.

Worse:
In an attempt to stop thinking about 'The Raft', beginning to think about 'The Moving Finger' instead, therefore leading you to think about weird elongated fingers coming out of the toilet (which is less than a foot away from the shower in which you are currently immersed) and tapping along the walls and floor and shower curtain.

Worst:
Having the bathtub pipes settle under the weight of the water with an audible 'tap!' noise and shrieking like a little girl.

Just think of it as getting into the Halloween Spirit.

And I'm vaguely impressed with myself for recognizing and remembering all of those Steven King short stories. Although I now have the feeling that I'll be imaging the long multi-knuckled finger for a long time again... sigh.

Along the same lines...anybody remember the movie "The Frighteners" if you remember the movie poster you remember this white gruesome face coming out of a pure white wall. I forever have a vendetta against bathroom walls that are pure white...*shiver*

Random "did you know":

Part of "The Frighteners" was-- IIRC-- filmed in the building I GO TO SCHOOL IN.

(That's Erskine College, folks. Hit me if I'm wrong.)

Yeah. That's bad all right. *_*'

And Basilisk also tells a creepy story. Last thing I want is the ghost of R. Lee Ermy haunting me and shouting orders at me...Not that I'd want that in physical form either... *_*'

Damnit... now I can't have baths or showers.

Thank you very much for creeping me out whenever I take a shower now. *shiver* Creepy.

Aww, bathtub tentacle hellbeasts are pretty decent folk if you get to know them. I'm on a first-name basis with mine (Francis). Once or twice a month, I make sure the drainpipe is clean for him, and he poses for the ghastly and horribly WRONG tentacle hentai pictures I've been sketching as of late.

Toiletfingers still owes me eight bucks, though. We're currently not talking.

Ooooooh, I TOTALLY know the Simple Everyday Activity Suddenly Interrupted By Terrifying Steven King Idea routine. I have given myself quite a scare on a few occasions with that damned imagination. I tried to stab my imagination with a fork in revenge but I just wound up with a bad headache.
