Last night it was hazy, with a thin layer of clouds. The atmosphere was perfect: the nearly-full moon cast an amazing glowing ring of light onto the clouds, a halo the size of a dinner plate in the sky with the moon, brilliant and white, in the center of the nimbus.
Even looking up and bending backwards it was almost too big to take in at once. It was an awe-inspiring sight, the type of thing that might move poets to paper and painters to canvas.
And I...
... I grinned foolishly and said "Dude!".
Somewhere Shelley weeps for me.

This entry just oozes "dude!"-ness. Oodles and oodles of "dude!"-ness.
More weeping, pass a tissue.

I don't know who Shelley is, but I am weeping with her....

Wolf: Shelley is Stan's sister on South Park, dude.
Moon: Don't feel too bad. I had a similar experience a few evenings ago. Sapphire-blue skies, the moon JUST peeking over the treeline, stars nearly bright enough to see by, and a gentle wind from the west, carrying on it the scent of autumn. The creatures of the forest around my house joined their voices into a song of late summer.
And I tastefully added to the brass section with a spaghetti-induced fart. Oops.

Colour me crazy, but I'd bet me boots she's alluding to the poet Shelley. Plebeians. Unless she really did mean Stan's sister or Shaz is being sarcastic in which case I need to go beat my head against things.

Ahh, Internet. You can teach us things we never would've known otherwise. You can show us things we'd never have seen otherwise. But the poor Internet still can't translate good old-fashioned human sarcasm ^^.
Ashley: Aim your head at something soft, at least TT.
