08/10/2002 Entry: "Geek Kitty."

So we got a brand new kitty earlier this week. All black, with a white spot on his chest.

Being the huge geeks that we are, we promptly named him 'Alfador'.

I'll bet it's cute! But...Alfador? I sense that there is something to the name that I don't understand. I rather like the name Alfador.

Nagia - in case you check these comments again, Alfador was the name of Janus's cat in the SNES RPG "Chrono Trigger".

As a proud owner of a cat myself, I'd better warn you that cats are a pain in the butt. Furballs, fleas, cat vom, wanting to be on the other side of that door at 4am and letting you know in no uncertain terms about it, scratching you just when you thought you two were having fun.... blech.

On the other hand, cats are cute - kittens trebly so. Puppies doen't even compare! And time spent playing with a cat is never wasted. I firmly believe that it is impossible to be miserable while stroking a cat.

Cats are good for you ! ;)
