05/04/2002 Entry: "Poor Housekeeping."

You go upstairs to clean the bathtub (because you're expecting guests soon and they might want to, you know, shower). You turn on the lights and pull aside the shower curtain, revealing an overgrowth of mildew, mold, and soap scum so thick and healthy that you contemplate running downstairs and getting the ice scraper out of the car to deal with it.
You decide that that isn't such a far-fetched idea after all; you actually do go get the ice scraper from the car and use it on the bathtub. And it works like a charm, peeling huge disgusting sheets of soap scum and mildew off the walls. Which you, of course, sweep up with a broom and dustpan before actually settling down to scrub.

... eheh. Guess who just scrubbed her ice scraper clean and put it in the dishwasher?

(Arielle? D? By the time you get here I guarantee that less than ten percent of my household appliances will be carnivorous.)

Ice scraper huh. I have to try that one. I've just been using old razors.

That's almost as bad as my old friend in Toronto whose kitchen I volunteered to clean. His stove had a half inch of congealed and hardened grease with moths and other insects imbedded in it. I'm not sure about his bathroom. After the kitchen I stayed well away. By the way, are you going to the animenorth con in TO in May Moon?

Moon is just a chip off the old block, but, I used a putty knife.

I can't remember where my putty knife is, actually...

As for Anime North, I don't think I'll be going, but I also haven't ruled it out. Technically it's close enough that I could drive there, but since I'm already going to two cons this summer, well, there's only so much money I can afford to spend, you know?
But I can't say 'definitely not' yet, either. Ffft. We'll see.

I'm disturbed. Very disturbed. I never thought I'd hear of someone whose bathroom rivalled my roommate's in sheer revoltingness. (His shower is surprisingly clean, though! Mostly because he never uses it. *shivers*)

You know you're a bad "room"keeper when you have over twenty empty juiceboxes scattered around.

Or that you just like juice alot.

Ice scraper. Hmm. I usually used a ruler for soap scum, but the scraper would probably do less damage. That's a good idea!
