I don't know what to say. I just read all 3 parts of the "Fat Camp Hell" journal in one sitting, and there are tears in my eyes.
I'm going to have to go sit down somewhere to process this now.
People's capacity for cruelty never ceases to horrify me... I hope that whoever found your page in their Google search paid close attention to your blog and learned something valuable.

Wow. I missed those blogs when you first posted them. I am glad you posted this blog now. I too was a fat person ever since I was 5 or 6 years old. I am currently fat. I have been trying all my life to lose weight and be thin. I have only recently been thinking that that may never be me. Thank you so much for posting that. I went through hell in school (no I never went to fat camp) and in my very small HELL of a home town, so I can definitely relate. I was never popular because I was a school nerd and everyone in my town hated me except my sister. Anyways I just wanted to say thank you again. You've just stopped me from giving hate botchers anymore of my money ever again.

There was an article in a recent issue of Time about fat camps. I did not read it because of lack of time, then I forgot about it. But when I saw it, I was reminded of your past blogs, Moon.
