11/24/2001 Entry: "I'm Not Your Tori Amos!"

WARNING: I have had far too much sleep, caffeine, and sugar, and I'm really in a lousy mood. Take this entry seriously at your own risk.

Sometimes in here I ramble
Sometimes I make no sense
Sometimes I say the wrong damn thing
But, in my own defense:

I'm not your Tori Amos.
I'm not your guiding light.
I'm not in it to be helpful.
So remember that, all right?

I'm just a human being!
Well, okay, perhaps a cow.
Sometimes I fuck up BIGTIME.
Ho boy, oh yeah, and HOW.

I'm not your Tori Amos.
I'm not your guiding light.
I'm not in it to be helpful.
So remember that, all right?

I don't write words to live by
I don't give good advice.
I just say what comes to mind.
Hell, I'm not really very nice.

I'm not your Tori Amos.
I'm not your guiding light.
I'm not in it to be helpful.
So remember that, all right?

Maybe if I had something to say
I'd learn to play guitar.
But all I have is snideness.
And sarcasm. There you are.

So I'm not your Tori Amos.
I'm not your guiding light.
I'm not in this to be helpful.
Please remember that, all right?

I'm sorry you're not in a good mood, Moon. :( If that helps any......
I know how you feel, in regards to what this post says. I understand. I guess....I can't say much more than that....
This sounds like a song, almost. That would be cool if you made it into one and released it! LOL

*hug*

If you're wondering where I am, I'm having a pissing contest with the phone company. I will hopefully be back online soon. :)

This is an interesting counterpoint to "wanking the dead skunk for dribbles of internet fame" from a while back. ^_^; The price of fame is people taking you too seriously?

Can't really relate, though I can sort of see *where* it's coming from... Still, feel good that people love you. Many of them, and they're vocal about it. That's an often underappreciated thing. ^_^

Aw, come on, Moon, you don't seriously think that we ACTUALLY worship you, do you?
... Uh. Well, I don't, seriously. Yes, you have clever little pearls of wisdom, but you're not Buddha, or anything. Um, yes. Maybe I'm taking it too seriously? o_o Or not. I don't know. x_x

One hopes that you snap out of whatever funk produced this soon... gods know that it sucks to be depressed (*gods*, as if that weren't obvious). You write whatever comes to mind, but it's pretty consistently entertaining, and sometimes even thought-provoking... which, I think, is why we all come back here. Even the ones of us who aren't yaoi fangirls (or fanboys). Or are evil.

Personally, I have no problems with you being depressed, Ms. Moon. However, I'm feeling strangely guilty about the "Not your Tori Amos" line, being as I DID say one of your blog entries remind me of her lyrics. So...um...sorry 'bout that. :) (I'm just gonna sit over in the corner for awhile.)

But...but - if you won't be my Tori Amos, then who will be? Now I have a gaping void in my life! *cries*
